Drawing upon experience within the hospitality and logistics sectors, specifically as a barista/bartender and forklift truck driver. These experiences exposed me to the reality that dedicated, hardworking individuals are often the most susceptible to workplace exploitation. The comic seeks to expose the paradox of essential labour: that the individuals most integral to societal function are frequently the most vulnerable to systemic exploitation. This piece critiques the normalisation of wage theft, precarious labour conditions, and social hierarchy, aiming to restore visibility and dignity to the workforce often rendered invisible.
